Frequently Asked Questions

Cetyl Palmitate is a wax-like ester derived from cetyl alcohol and palmitic acid, commonly used in cosmetics and personal care formulations as an emollient, thickener, and stabilizer. It helps improve the texture of creams and lotions, adds a smooth, silky feel to the skin, and helps stabilize emulsions so oil and water phases don't separate.

Cetyl Palmitate is generally considered non-irritating and non-comedogenic, making it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. It's a naturally derived, waxy substance often used as a safer alternative to mineral oil-based thickeners. As with any ingredient, it's a good idea to patch-test new products, especially for those with known allergies or highly reactive skin.
