SOL SORBITAN MONOLAURATE

DESCRIPTION

SOL Sorbitan Monolaurate is an ester derived from esterification of sorbitol with edible fatty acids.

The recommended shelf life of packaged SOL SML is two years from production date.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Product to be stored on pallets away from walls in clean, cool and dry conditions and shall not be subjected to direct sunlight and foreign odours. Storage temperature - 20 ÌŠC. No guarantee for open packages.

Frequently Asked Questions

SOL SML is produced by esterifying sorbitol with commercial coconut fatty acid, which gives it its characteristic yellow to amber, viscous oily appearance.

It is primarily used in pigments and as a wetting agent across cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial formulations.

SML is supplied in 200 kg HDPE drums and has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored between 25 °C and 30 °C.
